Health check dogs

All children go through the U-examinations and adults should also have regular preventive check-ups as soon as they exceed a certain age. This is also recommended for our pets.

During growth, particular attention is paid to congenital defects such as malpositioned teeth, undescended testicles, heart defects and also behavioural abnormalities.

After it is fully grown, the animal is normally examined thoroughly once a year when it is given its vaccine booster. Depending on the findings, further diagnostic tests are recommended. These can involve blood pressure measurement, a blood test or an ultrasound scan.

When the dog has reached a certain age, depending on the breed or disease, regular health checks take place at shorter intervals with the aim of preventing diseases from occurring through suitable prophylactic measures such as changes in feed or weight reduction.
